The City of Lubbock Public Health Department administered over 2,000 vaccinations in the first 3 days of their vaccination clinic at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

Originally, the City of Lubbock was allocated 1,000 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

On Monday, December 28th, a vaccination clinic was opened at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, and by the end of the day, 365 vaccinations were administered.

The next day, December 29th, an additional 532 vaccinations were administered.

Covenant Medical Center and University Medical Center provided an additional 1,400 doses, which were distributed during the clinic on Thursday, December 31st.

By the 31st, the clinic was still focusing on Phase 1A guidelines and added eligible individuals that fall under the 1B guidelines. Those falling into 1B are those aged 16 and up with a chronic health condition such as cancer or kidney disease.

On December 31st, the clinic had administered around 1,273 vaccinations.

The City of Lubbock expects that over the weekend, they will receive an additional 1,000 vaccine doses over the weekend. Additional vaccination clinics will be opened once the city receives those additional doses.

Overall, during the first 3 days of being operational, the City of Lubbock Public Health Department's vaccination clinic vaccinated 2,161 people.
