Saturday was the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky. And afterward, something CLEARLY went horribly wrong at Churchill Downs.  Because around 4:50 A.M. yesterday morning, security guards found a man's DEAD BODY in the stables.

His name was Adan Fabian Perez, and he was a 48-year-old racetrack worker, from Guatemala.

The police are investigating it as a homicide, because according to a spokeswoman, quote, "He did sustain injuries that lead us to believe he was involved in some type of altercation."

The barn where the body was found belongs to a trainer named Angel Montano Senior, although he didn't have a horse running on Saturday.  And it's just four barns away from the one where this year's Derby winner I'll Have Another was kept.

An autopsy will be performed on the body today.

Crazy enough, last year, about a week after the Kentucky Derby, a jockey was found dead in a car near the stables.  He died from an accidental drug overdose.
