There's a phenomenon called "yacht rock", which refers to the soft rock format that peaked from 1975 to 1984.  It's a "thing" now, because everyone is falling in love with it again...ironically.

We're talking about artists like Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan and Toto.  It's called "yacht rock" as a reference to the kind of music a stereotypical yuppie yacht owner would listen to.

Anyway, there's an '80s cover band called Guilty Pleasures that specializes in yacht rock covers...and during a recent show, they did a version of the Iron Maiden song, "Run to the Hills". The singer even sounds just like Michael McDonald!

Obviously, Iron Maiden does NOT normally qualify as yacht rock.

Here's video of the Guilty Pleasures yacht rock version (Here's a YouTube link to the original song.)
