Lubbock Man Accused of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child Again
A Lubbock man was arrested on Monday, November 15th for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
KAMC News reports that around 5 years ago, now 48-year-old Freddie Alvarez Gonzales from Slaton entered the room of a 9-year-old girl and began rubbing her back. The girl says that Gonzales' hand kept going lower and lower, but she eventually jumped up and left the room.
The investigation began in New Deal, but it wasn't made immediately clear whether or not the incident took place in New Deal or somewhere else in Lubbock County.
About a year before his current arrest, Gonzales was charged with aggravated sexual assault of an adult woman with Down Syndrome. She was apparently only able to communicate with others with basic hand gestures.
On top of this, he was charged with sexual abuse of another child who was about 9-years-old, too. That child told police that Gonzales would come into their room at night and touch them inappropriately. A family member said that they once caught Gonzales in the act, but the victim's parents didn't believe it.
The arrest warrant for the current issue was issued in late September, but Gonzales wouldn't be arrested until almost two months later.
Gonzales remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond.
