Two Lubbock Men Plead Guilty to Sexually Abusing Underage Girls
Two men from Lubbock have both pleaded guilty on the same day to sexually abusing underage girls.
The morning of Thursday, December 1st, 24-year-old Isaiah Alvarez pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child. KAMC News reports that Alvarez was accused in March of this year of sexually assaulting a girl who was under 6-years-old.
Reports say that the made the girl fear for her life and that this was taking place between February of 2015 and January of 2018. Alvarez was arrested in Oklahoma City and was sentenced to 18 years in state jail but received credit for the 273 days in jail he already spent.
The same day, December 1st, 26-year-old Marcus Gutierrez also pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child.
KAMC News reports that officers were called to a residence back in January of 2022. There, a girl under the age of 14 told police that 26-year-old Marcus Gutierrez had been sexually assaulting her for months while everyone was home asleep.
Gutierrez was arrested in April and booked into the Hale County Jail. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison but was given credit for the 225 days he already spent in jail.
