Lubbock Man Accused of Kidnapping Ex-Girlfriend From Stripes
A Lubbock man has been accused of kidnapping and violating a protection order after it's said he kidnapped his ex-girlfriend at a Stripes Convenience Store.
KAMC News reports that Lubbock Police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at the Circle K at 3402 Milwaukee Avenue. Officers later learned that the suspect, 24-year-old Nathaniel Hernandez, used to be in a relationship with the victim. However, she filed an order of protection against Hernandez. This order said he wasn't allowed to be within 200 feet of her.
Police say that Hernandez abducted the victim from the Stripes at 8112 I-27. He was arrested on Monday, July 18th. When the incident itself took place was not specified.
Hernandez remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
