Texas Tech Softball was one win away from their first Super Regional ever after playing in five games over the weekend. After losing a hearbreaker to LSU in 13 innings on Saturday, they defeated Louisiana Tech to climb back towards a series finale against the Tigers again.

In the first game on Sunday, Texas Tech grinded out a win over LSU 5 to 4 in game one. That would then force a winner takes all finale, which they would drop by a final score of 5 to 1, ending the Red Raider softball season.

The Texas Tech Softball team finishes with one of the best years in softball history as Adrian Gregory's team finishes the season with a 42-16 overall record, the 42 wins is tied for the most in program history.
