The 13th-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders met the Oklahoma Sooners on big Monday featured on ESPN, and it was an ugly affair.

The first half was a low-scoring slog, with the Sooners mustering just 18 points and the Red Raiders getting to the locker room with 25. The second half was just as ugly, but the Red Raiders would finish with a 57-52 win and a season sweep of the Oklahoma Sooners.

Both teams struggled early shooting early, with the Sooners going 26 percent from the field in the first half and a staggering 1-10 from beyond the arc, an area of the floor that Texas Tech opponents have been draining shots from lately. The Red Raiders out-rebounded the Sooners in the first half, 24 to 15.

Mac McClung struggled mightily after averaging more than 21 points per game in his last seven. McClung didn't score his first points until less than nine minutes left in the second half, and that was a pair of free throws. He did affect the game in other ways though, like this incredible chase-down block, stopping an Oklahoma run and preventing the Sooners from taking a lead.

The Red Raiders scrapped during the second half and finally hit back-to-back threes with McCullar and Shannon stretching the lead to 10 with 3:21 left on the clock. The Red Raiders were poised to take control of the game, but the Sooners wouldn't go away. They went on a 7-0 run to get back within three at 50-47 with less than 1:20 on the clock.

McClung drove to the bucket and get fouled. He added two free throws, but OU responded with a three pointer. The 52-50 Red Raiders lead stretched to 54-50 with two Terrence Shannon free throws. Oklahoma made another bucket to cut it to 54-52 with 25 seconds left.

Oklahoma tried to defend and force a turnover, but Texas Tech got the ball to Shannon, who drew a foul and sunk a pair of free throws to seal the game. A Clarence Nadolny free throw made the final 57-52.

The Red Raiders didn't make a field goal over the last three minutes and 21 seconds.
