Quickly after the celebration died down from Super Bowl 54 and the parade route had been run the Kansas City Chiefs set their sights on Super Bowl 55. The impossible offseason where the Chiefs had 10 guys to sign and only $177 to do it was underway.

First the Chiefs signed a new backup quarterback in Chad Henne. Then they bolstered the offensive line with swing tackle Mike Remmers who will back up both tackle spots. The Chiefs then resigned veteran pieces FB Anthony Sherman and WRs Demarcus Robinson and Sammy Watkins. They also signed veteran tight end Ricky Seals-Jones to replace back up Blake Bell.

That's all before June.

In July the Chiefs signed guard Kelechi Osemele to replace Laurent Duvernay-Tardif who chose to opt-out. They also signed Patrick Mahomes to a record-breaking extension, Travis Kelce to an extension and defensive tackle Chris Jones as well.

Arguably their three best players.

If those moves weren't enough the Chiefs also locked up the head coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach to extensions.

The question isn't if the Chiefs will be in contention this season, it's if they'll be in contention for the next five seasons or more.

We talked to Dan Israel on the Raiderland to preview the Kansas City Chiefs season and recap the offseason. Listen to the entire interview here:
