U.S. Marshals Arrest Angelwitch Cabaret Murder Suspect in Austin

An arrest was made concerning a shooting death at a South Lubbock club that happened on March 9th.
U.S. Marshals arrested 51-year-old Kennon Charles Shaw for the shooting death of 28-year-old Joseph Burks. The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office reports Shaw was taken into custody at 1:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Pedernales Street in Austin, Texas.
The shooting incident occurred just before 2 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Angelwitch Cabaret in Lubbock, located at 609 County Road 7150. When deputies arrived, Burks was found with serious injuries from a gunshot wound. Burks was taken to University Medical Center where he later died.
Shaw faces a 1st degree felony murder charge.
