Authorities have made an arrest in connection to a body found Saturday morning after a storage unit fire in North Lubbock.

On February 12th, Lubbock Fire Rescue and Lubbock police officers responded to the fire just before 11:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of North Frankford Avenue.

During containment of the blaze, officers found 21-year-old Cypress Ramos dead inside a storage unit at the scene.

Later that day, authorities identified the suspect as 32-year-old Allan Montemayor and filed a warrant for his arrest. Montemayor was taken into custody by Lubbock County Sheriff's deputies at Broadway Street and Cricket Avenue on charges of murder and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Montemayor was then booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.

The circumstances surrounding the death remain unknown.
