So, I've mentioned on many occasions the fact that I am married. It's not my first marriage, but definitely my last.  And, this past weekend, I traveled to the Pacific Northwest where my bride lives, with her kids...for now. Great visit, and rather poignant...since it was our 1 year anniversary.

Ain't she beautiful? Yes, I clearly "outkicked the coverage". We've known each other for almost 40 years, and I was finally able to convince her that she kinda had the hots for me all these years...

This was a picture taken when we were married in her backyard. It is a picture that we just finally posted online this weekend.  Why did it take so long, you ask?

Because we never really mentioned to anyone that we were married before now.

This weekend, since it is our 1st anniversary, served as a bit of a "coming out" party. We finally posted it to Facebook, etc. Everyone now knows the day we got married...the year, is just a mathematical anomaly. We announced that we were married. and October 4th is still our anniversary, either way. What's 365 days among friends, anyway?

Why did we wait to say something? Well, we have our reasons. Some close friends already knew, and that's fine. We actually wanted to throw a larger summer party, but Covid...and my mother's passing...kinda derailed that. It happens, we move on.

So, we spent the weekend on the Oregon Coast, and just enjoyed ourselves with champagne served in a hotel room coffee service cup and some amazing views.

Then, it was time for me to make the long flight(s) back to The Hub City. The good news is that my wife and her daughter are flying to Lubbock next month, to spend some time in the West Texas sun. So, if you have any ideas on where I should take them, I'm all ears, kids...

Oh, and if you want to say "congratulations", or "Happy Anniversary"...either applies.
